Fuelman is a FLEETCOR subsidiary that produces and distributes various types of fuel cards that can be used nationwide at Fuelman accepting locations. Fuelman differentiates itself from other fleet cards by offering cards that are accepted at both local commercial fuel stations and national level retail gas stations and truck stops.

Calling for payment every week or every two weeks, Fuelman has a fairly average billing cycle but for a fee can be extended so that payments are made once a month.
Purchasing Flexibility
The benefit of using a fuel card is that it allows an employer to ensure that company funds are being properly used. In most cases, when it comes to fuel cards, that means that cards are usable to purchase fuel and nothing more. Unfortunately, companies who have more costs than just simply fuel are largely left out of benefiting from these controls as credit cards or cash must be used to purchase non-fuel products. However, with Fuelman a few more companies are brought into the fold as certain cards are extended so that maintenance and construction supply purchases can be made.

Less Accepting Locations
The Fuelman Fuel Card is only accepted at 50,000 stations, marked by a small Fuelman Flag, and which is a great deal less than other universal cards. However, Fuelman is also accepted at some 20,000 maintenance stations which is a characteristic that most other fuel cards don’t share.
Conclusion
Even though it isn’t the most “universal” card in the market in comparison to others, the Fuelman Fuel Card is by far the most useful with purchasing power extending beyond simply fuel while not sacrificing any of the controls or rebates that other cards have to offer.
